One of the great things about Whistler are the people that we get to meet along the way and the cool things these people do. Eric Pehota one of Canada's big mountain ski pioneers owns Whistler Jet Boating. Eric had a few minutes to spend with us recently.
TAG: Where were you born?
I was born in Northern British Columbia
TAG: Do you have any nicknames that people have given you?
None that I can think of...
TAG: What is the favorite part of your job?
Interaction with clients and showing them the outdoors in a way that few have experienced , ripping up and down the class 3 plus white water rapids in a manner that few people have the chance to do...not your everyday boat ride. The beauty of this tour is that people of all ages are able to enjoy it.
TAG: What was your last job?
I have been a kayaker, white water raft and jet boat pilot for the last 25 years. In the off-season I am a pro skier traveling and filming around the world.
TAG: What is the strangest thing one of your guest's has asked you?
Does the river go in a circle?

The closer you come to the edge, the more alive you feel.
TAG: What is your personal "must do" in Whistler in winter?
Skiing 100 days

In the fall I enjoy the challenge of exploring new rivers with my wife and two sons.
