Description

A visit to Whistler would not be complete without canoeing down the River of Golden Dreams. This Whistler canoe journey will take you across Alta Lake through the Whistler Wetlands down a scenic glacier river and then out into magnificent Green Lake. Learn about Whistler’s history, geography, flora, and fauna. Joining you in your canoe or double kayak, our knowledgeable and qualified guides will show you paddling techniques and help you navigate the waters.

What to bring

Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and shoes you don't mind getting wet (hint: flip flops will float away quickly so make sure they are attached!)
Always a good idea to wear a hat if it's sunny out
No jeans as they don't dry quickly if you get wet

Tips

You may see wildlife so bring your camera (waterproof camera or kept in a waterproof container)
Insect repellent and sunscreen is recommended but not provided

FAQ

Tours will run rain or shine
Personal flotation device (PFD's), canoe/kayak and paddles are provided
Meet 15 minutes prior to your tour time at Whistler Eco Tours in the Delta Whistler Village Suites in Whistler Village (behind the GAP)
The tour duration is approximately 3 hours round trip, including transportation
All tours are fully guided by professionally trained guides
Children must be a minimum of 40 lbs and able to sit comfortably in the canoe/kayak for at least 2 hours
