Staff Spotlight
Jono has been a part of the TAG family for 2 fabulous years now and boy do we love him! If you've ever had the privilege of experiencing his infectious energy, wonderful sense of humour and charming attitude - you'll know what we're talking about!
TAG: Where were you born?
A tiny town of 800 people called Nannup in Western Australia.
TAG: What nicknames have people given you?
Well its not very flattering but I have been called spoon toes or jaw...I know, don't ask.
TAG: Can you explain to us, please, how & where you get all of your energy?!
Well to be honest I had ADD as a kid but my mom is a hippy and go figure she didn't want me on meds! Of course I'm kidding...but I am a naturally hyper individual all the time and I use it to my advantage!
TAG: What do you do for The Adventure Group?
In the summer I am a lead hand for Wildplay and happily take people out of their comfort zone on activites like Monkido and Zoom ziplines. These are easily 2 of the most unique activities in Whistler.
In the winter I lead snowshoe tours up Whistler Mountain for Whistler Wilderness Tours
TAG: What is the favourite part of your job?
Seeing the look of sheer delight and satisfaction on peoples faces when they have finished Monkido for the first time.
Also meeting new people and having the opportunity to do new things everyday really keeps me jazzed about coming to work each day.
TAG: How do you help people get over their fear of heights on Zoom?
Blind fold them and push them off.....joking!! Just reassure them that its completely safe and they don't have to do anything they don't want to do. Our #1 priority after the safety of our guests is making sure people have an awesome time out there!
TAG: Do you have a fave quote or words you live by?
Nothing is certain except adventure! And my fave, ""You weren't born with clothes on!"
TAG: What is your personal "winter must-do" in Whistler? summer?
For me...the perfect winter day would have to be a day of fresh tracks on a 20cm snow day followed by some solid après with friends.
In the summer hanging out by one of the many fresh lakes in Whistler with my friends on a warm summer day. Yes there are lots of warm days in Whistler in the summer...
